I created Small Farms, Big Orders last year when I found there weren’t many sites or groups for wholesale agricultural sharing. As a small business, I wanted to have access to wholesale prices but I didn’t have enough space or financial support to justify an order and meet the minimum requirements. So, I decided to create a safe space for people to find similar businesses within their community to facilitate and split wholesale orders so everyone wins!

This group is a non-brokering/not-for-profit co-op that allows small farms to split wholesale orders within every state in the USA. It’s essentially a place to meet friends in your area, boost each other’s businesses and of course to get those great wholesale prices! In this group you’ll find chat rooms for every state and guidelines for community sharing. I’ve also created spreadsheet templates available to anyone within the group willing to facilitate an order.

I’m forever grateful to the group of people who were a part of the very first order that helped pioneer this group. A few of those people are now very close friends of mine and some are now the group’s moderators! I believe I have Small Farms, Big Orders to thank for my business growing as fast as it has. Without it, I would be limited to strictly local connections and connections through social media posting. Within this group I have been able to create strong relationships with people and businesses all over our country and you can do the same too!
